To my surprise this little TV set worked like a charm. I’m in New Hampshire USA and about 40 miles from Boston TV antennas. At first I thought it was going to be a dud, but after a few flops, it did work well.. It comes with two antennas: a small loop antenna, and rabbit ears on a 6-8′ wire. First I downloaded and installed the PAD TV HD app, which had a different icon than on the box. I plugged the interface into the phone, and the app came up. I had to answer yes to a couple suspicious questions about access to my phone, but I did so anyway. I then did a scan for the USA using the small loop antenna. It found about 20 channels, but when I tried to play them, I would get sound but no video. I went to settings and set “Hardware DEC” to NO, then it started working, at least a bit. But then it would not work. Rebooted, and then did new scan, but this time used the rabbit ears. Eventually got about 20 channels, but can watch maybe 5, but they are the networks that I want to see, and after some adjustment of the rabbit ears, they came in good. Since I’m in a fringe area for OTA TV, I usually need a pretty big antenna to get TV, but this little rabbit ears did work well. So, if you are in a good reception area, it should be okay. It will run an hour or two, but will discharge the battery fairly quickly, so you then need to unplug the receiver, so you can plug in the charge cable. I used this on an a Samsung S7 SkyPro tracfone that has a cracked screen, so no longer has service, so I find this as a neat little portable TV, that may be useful.
